I am sure most of you have now seen the videos trending on TikTok regarding luxury goods being made in China at their factories.  It has opened up a whole new conversation on what the word Luxury truly means.

According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary this is the definition of Luxury:

a condition of abundance or great ease and comfort sumptuous environment
lived in luxury
something adding to pleasure or comfort but not absolutely necessary
one of life's luxuries
an indulgence in something that provides pleasure, satisfaction, or ease

How does this translate to the world of weddings?

For Fabuluxe Events luxury is:
  • service that is second to none
  • a true partnership with our couples
  • exquisite attention to detail
  • true concierge services on the wedding day and before
  • beautiful execution of the couple's vision for their wedding weekend
  • and an understanding that "over the top" doesn't always equate with luxury

In this industry we talk about luxury, ultra-luxury in terms of dollars spent.  And yes, to a point wedding budgets help define luxury.

But ultimately, we believe, true luxury is intentional, collaborative, kind, trusting and beautiful.

Uh Oh, you are attending a wedding and don't know what to wear! Well we have the answers on all things fashion. Follow the tips below and you will be "in-style"!

Fashion Do's and Don'ts for Wedding Guests

As a wedding guest, you want to look your best while respecting the bride and groom's wishes. To ensure that you make a great impression, here are some fashion do's and don'ts for wedding guests.

When it comes to weddings, there is nothing worse than being the guest who stands out for all the wrong reasons. Whether it's because you're wearing too much white or your outfit is just plain inappropriate, it's important to dress appropriately for the occasion. After all, the last thing you want is to upstage the bride or be the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons.

To help you avoid any fashion faux pas, here are a few do's and don'ts for wedding guests:

  • Do dress your age. Just because you're over 50 doesn't mean you have to wear matronly clothing. However, avoid dressing like you're still in your 20s. The key is to find a happy medium that allows you to feel comfortable and stylish at the same time.
  • Do avoid wearing all white. Unless specifically told by the bride that guests can wear white, avoid it at all costs. You don't want to upstage the bride or look like you're trying to steal her thunder. Instead, opt for muted colors or prints that will complement the bride's dress without overshadowing it.
  • Do take cues from the invitation. The invitation should give you a good idea of what kind of event it will be. If it's a black-tie affair, then you'll know to dress accordingly. However, if it's a more casual affair, then you can get away with wearing something a little more relaxed.
  • Don't forget about accessories. Your outfit isn't complete until you've added the finishing touches. A statement necklace or flashy earrings can really help to pull an outfit together and make you look more put-together. Just be sure not to go overboard - less is almost always more when it comes to accessories.
  • Don't wear revealing clothing. Even if it's a beach wedding, there's no need to show off too much skin. You want to look stylish and chic, not trashy or tacky. Avoid anything that is too short, too tight, or has a plunging neckline. Not only will you be more comfortable, but you'll also avoid any embarrassing fashion mishaps.

When it comes to fashion, wedding guests often make one of two mistakes - they either dress too formally or too casually. To avoid making either mistake, take cues from the invitation and keep your outfit age-appropriate while avoiding anything that is too revealing or showy (such as all-white). With these simple tips in mind, you'll be sure to make a great impression at any wedding celebration!

Hi y'all today we are talking about Unplugged Ceremonies...and yes they are still a thing but with a twist sometimes.  Recently we had a couple take 2 minutes at the beginning of their ceremony where the officiant said "please take all the photos you want now."  Guests took photos for 2 minutes then the officiant asked "please put away your phones and enjoy the special moments of this ceremony."  And the rest of the ceremony was unplugged.  Friends got their photos for social media and the ceremony was still respected....Interesting isn't it!

If you want a more traditional Unplugged Ceremony check out these tips below!

Unplugged Ceremonies: Are they Still a Thing?

When you're planning your wedding, one of the decisions you'll have to make is whether or not to have an unplugged ceremony. This is a newer trend in weddings that is growing in popularity. An unplugged ceremony means that guests are not allowed to use their cell phones or any other electronic devices during the ceremony. So, why would you want to consider having an unplugged wedding? There are several reasons!

One of the biggest reasons to consider an unplugged ceremony is that it allows your guests to be fully present in the moment. With everyone's attention focused on their electronic devices, it can be difficult to truly be present and soak up all the emotions of the day. When cell phones are banned, guests are forced to put down their devices and be in the moment. This means they'll be able to fully experience your ceremony and will likely remember it more vividly afterwards.

Another reason to consider an unplugged ceremony is that it can create a more intimate atmosphere. When guests are focused on their devices, they're not really interacting with the people around them. This can make your ceremony feel more like a performance that everyone is watching rather than an intimate occasion shared between you and your loved ones. By banning cell phones, you're encouraging your guests to interact with each other and with you, which can make for a more intimate and memorable experience.

If you're worried about guests missing out on important photos or videos of your ceremony, don't be! More than likely you will have paid good money and hired a professional photographer  and/or videographer to capture the day's events. Imagine receiving your beautifully edited wedding video and seeing nothing but cell phones in the air, or even worse, a guest in the middle of your aisle with an iPad. Yes! It happens!  An unplugged ceremony ensures that your professional photos and videos will be the only ones worth keeping.

So, there you have it! These are just a few of the many reasons why you should consider having an unplugged wedding ceremony. If you're looking for a way to create a more intimate atmosphere and ensure that your guests are fully present in the moment, an unplugged ceremony is definitely something to consider!

Hi All!  Something that might be overlooked during wedding planning is y our skin care routine.  The stress of wedding planning can even cause your skin to change...you could get acne or dryness due to the stress.  That's why it's crucial to start a skin-care routine that works for you!

Check out our tips below!

Do start a skincare routine at least six months before your wedding day

It’s important to start a skincare routine at least six months before the big day. This gives your skin enough time to adjust to any new products and treatments you may be using. By giving yourself plenty of time, you can ensure that your skin looks radiant and flawless on your wedding day.

A good skincare routine consists of cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing. Cleansing helps to remove dirt, oil, and makeup from your skin, while exfoliating sloughs off dead skin cells. Moisturizing replenishes moisture levels and helps to keep your skin hydrated. If you start a skincare routine early, you’ll have plenty of time to experiment with different products and find what works best for your skin.

Exfoliating your skin regularly is an important part of any skincare routine. By removing dead skin cells and other debris, exfoliation helps to keep your skin looking healthy and radiant. In addition, exfoliation can also help to unclog pores and prevent the build-up of excess oil. As a result, regular exfoliation can help to reduce the appearance of acne and other blemishes. There are a variety of ways to exfoliate your skin, including scrubs, peels, and brushes. However, it's important to be gentle when exfoliating, as over-exfoliation can damage the delicate balance of your skin's natural oils. When used properly, exfoliation can be a powerful tool for keeping your skin looking its best.

In addition to a good skincare routine, there are other things you can do to prepare your skin for your wedding day. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out. Eat a healthy diet that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables. And get regular exercise, which will help to improve circulation and give your skin a natural glow. By taking care of yourself in the months leading up to your wedding, you can ensure that you look and feel your best on the big day.

Do find a facialist you trust and stick with them

When it comes to choosing a facialist, it is important to find someone you trust. A good facialist will be able to assess your skin and recommend the best course of treatment. They will also be able to provide advice on how to care for your skin at home. In addition, a facialist can help to identify any underlying skin conditions that may be causing problems. If you find a facialist you trust, stick with them. They will be able to provide you with the best possible care for your skin.

Do use sunscreen every day, even when it's cloudy outside

It's common knowledge that sunscreen is important for protecting your skin from the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. But what many people don't realize is that you need to use sunscreen every day, even when it's cloudy outside. Although clouds provide some protection from the sun, they don't block all of UV rays. In fact, up to 80% of the sun's UV rays can penetrate through clouds. This means that you're still at risk of developing skin cancer, even on cloudy days. So make sure to apply sunscreen before you leave the house, and reapply it every few hours for maximum protection. With a little bit of effort, you can help keep your skin healthy and looking its best.

Don't try any new products right before your wedding day

Your wedding day is supposed to be one of the most special days of your life. Everything from your dress to your hair and makeup should reflect how beautiful you are, inside and out. That's why it's important to not try any new products right before your wedding day. While you might be tempted to try that new face cream or bottle of shampoo that you just bought, there's always the risk that it will cause an allergic reaction or break you out in a rash. The last thing you want on your big day is a red, blotchy face! Stick to using the same products that you know work for you and save any experimentation for after the wedding. Your skin will thank you for it!

Don'ts for tanning:

Tanning beds are a big no-no for brides. Not only does it increase your risk of skin cancer, but it can also lead to premature aging and uneven pigmentation. We recommend avoiding self-tanners as well, as they can often leave your skin looking unnatural, blotchy, and orange. If you want a sun-kissed look for your wedding day, please go to a professional spray tanner. Not only is it safer than tanning beds, but they will also provide you with a more natural and even result. With the right products and preparation, you can have beautiful, glowing skin for your big day that won't damage your skin in the long run.

Don't neglect your lips - make sure to moisturize and protect them from the sun!

Many people take great care of their faces, but neglect their lips. Your lips are just as susceptible to damage from the sun and wind as the rest of your skin, so it's important to protect them with a lip balm that contains SPF. In addition, lips can become dry and chapped, especially in the winter months. Be sure to keep them moisturized with a hydrating lip balm. Regular exfoliation will also help to keep your lips soft and smooth. By taking care of your lips, you can help to prevent premature aging and maintain a healthy, youthful appearance.

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, so you want to look and feel your best. By starting a skincare routine at least six months in advance, finding a facialist you trust, and using sunscreen every day, you can help ensure that your skin looks gorgeous on your big day. Additionally, don't forget to take precautions when to comes to the glowing bridal look and take care of your lips by moisturizing them and protecting them from the sun. And finally, avoid trying any new products right before the wedding - stick with what you know works for you!
