Hi all,

Lots of talk these days about budgets and tariffs and costs.  While none of us know exactly what will happen.  We can expect increases in prices across the board. It's a fact of life and these market ups and downs don't help.

Did you know that we don't grow any "wedding flowers" in the USA?  99% of flowers come from outside the country.

I see so many posts in FB and other platforms where the post starts with:

I am on a budget or I don't want it cost an arm and a leg.  To be honest I don't know that means.

Couples don't be afraid to speak in real numbers.  No matter your budget there are Wedding Professionals for you.  "on a budget" means different things to different people.

We have worked with couples whose families are on the Forbes list and they had a budget.  We have worked with professional athletes who are on a budget.  It's all very subjective.

A budget is $10K-$10,000,000 but the biggest thing is to be honest with your creative partners.

And NO people don't charge more because "it's a wedding".  Weddings are more work on the back end.

Finally, honesty is the best policy when working with your creative partners for your wedding.

Remember at Fabuluxe Events we are here to help you create your South Florida, Carribbean or Mexican wedding!

Abby and Bryce had a stunning wedding at The Breakers Palm Beach and you would have never known that a hurricane had landed a few days before affecting many of their guests and family members.  Hurricane Milton made landfall on the West Coast of Florida a few days before their wedding.  We can't give enough credit to The Breakers for helping guests check-in early after evacuating and making them feel safe and at home!

And during our initial conversations Abby and I found out that we are all huge Florida State Football fans. Our chats during football season were fire! And let's not even get started on how cute their dog, Steve, is.  Steve shaped cookies were in the Welcome Bags

We partnered with an incredible team to create the elegant, timeless wedding that Abby had envisioned.  Decor by Special Event Resource set the tone.  Photographic artistry by Chris Joriann captured every moment, detail and feeling perfectly. Glam was handled by Bombshell Makeovers.  The bride wore Vera Wang and Bottega Veneta and the groom's custom tux was from The Tux Shop Palm Beach.

The dance floor was packed with East Coast Entertainment in the house!

Weekend events included a bridal luncheon at Renato's on Palm Beach and Welcome Party at Salifish Marina.  Guests experienced the best of the Palm Beaches!

What made this weekend even more special is that we were able to work around the hurricane and guests experienced had a fabulous time to forget about their troubles for a few days!

I am sure most of you have now seen the videos trending on TikTok regarding luxury goods being made in China at their factories.  It has opened up a whole new conversation on what the word Luxury truly means.

According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary this is the definition of Luxury:

a condition of abundance or great ease and comfort sumptuous environment
lived in luxury
something adding to pleasure or comfort but not absolutely necessary
one of life's luxuries
an indulgence in something that provides pleasure, satisfaction, or ease

How does this translate to the world of weddings?

For Fabuluxe Events luxury is:
  • service that is second to none
  • a true partnership with our couples
  • exquisite attention to detail
  • true concierge services on the wedding day and before
  • beautiful execution of the couple's vision for their wedding weekend
  • and an understanding that "over the top" doesn't always equate with luxury

In this industry we talk about luxury, ultra-luxury in terms of dollars spent.  And yes, to a point wedding budgets help define luxury.

But ultimately, we believe, true luxury is intentional, collaborative, kind, trusting and beautiful.

Sometimes along the wedding journey a couple may find thesmselves in a position where a vendor isn't a good fit.  And that's ok.  I know I am not right for everyone as well.  Erica and Josh came to me after they didn't have the right fit with another vendor.

We talked about how they work, what they needed and how to get things going.  And we created a new path forward for them.  The result was a Miami Wedding at the beautiful Ritz-Cartlon South Beach, that incorporated elements that were a testament to them as couple.

And honestly, that's all we want.  Erica and Josh love board games, and thinking outside the box.  But the moments where Erica is smiling at something someone said or Josh is having a moment with his mom, those moments are why we do this job.

A huge thank you to Martin M. and the team at The Ritz-Carlton South Beach for incredible service all weekend.  Petal Productions designed a look that fit their aesthetic, and their budget.  Nat and Bryan Photography captured all of the moments and details perfectly.

And most of all thank you, Erica and Josh, for allowing Fabuluxe Events to be part of your weekend of love and commitment.

PS.  Our favorite part was the recessional song "Africa" because these two headed to an African Safari for their honeymoon!

Uh Oh, you are attending a wedding and don't know what to wear! Well we have the answers on all things fashion. Follow the tips below and you will be "in-style"!

Fashion Do's and Don'ts for Wedding Guests

As a wedding guest, you want to look your best while respecting the bride and groom's wishes. To ensure that you make a great impression, here are some fashion do's and don'ts for wedding guests.

When it comes to weddings, there is nothing worse than being the guest who stands out for all the wrong reasons. Whether it's because you're wearing too much white or your outfit is just plain inappropriate, it's important to dress appropriately for the occasion. After all, the last thing you want is to upstage the bride or be the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons.

To help you avoid any fashion faux pas, here are a few do's and don'ts for wedding guests:

  • Do dress your age. Just because you're over 50 doesn't mean you have to wear matronly clothing. However, avoid dressing like you're still in your 20s. The key is to find a happy medium that allows you to feel comfortable and stylish at the same time.
  • Do avoid wearing all white. Unless specifically told by the bride that guests can wear white, avoid it at all costs. You don't want to upstage the bride or look like you're trying to steal her thunder. Instead, opt for muted colors or prints that will complement the bride's dress without overshadowing it.
  • Do take cues from the invitation. The invitation should give you a good idea of what kind of event it will be. If it's a black-tie affair, then you'll know to dress accordingly. However, if it's a more casual affair, then you can get away with wearing something a little more relaxed.
  • Don't forget about accessories. Your outfit isn't complete until you've added the finishing touches. A statement necklace or flashy earrings can really help to pull an outfit together and make you look more put-together. Just be sure not to go overboard - less is almost always more when it comes to accessories.
  • Don't wear revealing clothing. Even if it's a beach wedding, there's no need to show off too much skin. You want to look stylish and chic, not trashy or tacky. Avoid anything that is too short, too tight, or has a plunging neckline. Not only will you be more comfortable, but you'll also avoid any embarrassing fashion mishaps.

When it comes to fashion, wedding guests often make one of two mistakes - they either dress too formally or too casually. To avoid making either mistake, take cues from the invitation and keep your outfit age-appropriate while avoiding anything that is too revealing or showy (such as all-white). With these simple tips in mind, you'll be sure to make a great impression at any wedding celebration!
