It's a new week and a new blog chat. This week we are talking about FIRST LOOKS.
1. First look between couple
2. First look with parents
3. First look with wedding party/bridal party
4. First look/room reveal of the event space.
There is no right or wrong answer to the question of having any sort of first look. I repeat, there is no right or wrong decision here.
What needs to happen is clear communication with your planner and your photographer so that the appropriate time can be allocated for these photos should you choose to do them.
Things to consider when deciding on a first look.
Couple First Look - How traditional are you? How much time do you want to spend at your cocktail hour? Would you like to say private vows to each other? How much travel time and distance between each portion of your day?
First Look with Parents - Ok, this always makes me cry. For parents it's a special moment to see a child grown up and ready to enter the next phase of life. Tissues on hand are a requirement.
First Look with Wedding Party/Bridal Party - It can be fun to show off your full fashion look for the day with the people who are part of your wedding party.
First Look/Room Reveal - Yes, take a moment to go into the main reception space and look at the results of all your ideas and dreams. Maybe practice your first dance together. But take a moment to enjoy and breathe it all in together.
