Every now and then we are blessed to be able to flex our creative muscles and work with some spectacular wedding and event pros to make magic.  This summer we got together with some of the best in the business to create a truly unique inspiration photo shoot.  We had so much fun planning and executing this shoot at a real working farm.  The coolest part is that you can rent the farm and barn for your wedding or special event!

We hope you enjoy the photos as much as enjoyed helping create them!

Hi Everyone!  We are back after a weeklong vacation.  It was great to unplug for a while but now we are ready to go into the holidays and the new year.  So many exciting thing are coming in 2013!  We can't wait to share them all.

Yesterday, after reading the annual Oprah's Favorite Things magazine issue, we were inspired to share our favorite things with you.  Some of them are wedding related, some of related to the holidays and some are just our favorite things about our lives.  We hope you enjoy!

Jen's Favorite Things:

1.  Watching dad walk his daughter down the aisle.  I cry everytime and usually the dads are crying too.  The beauty in the pure emotion is so special!

2.  Seeing the surprise on my son's face after Santa has come to our house. (I think that this will be the last year he believes and I am going to cherish every moment.)

3.  The smell of cookies baking and hot chocolate always put me in the holiday spirit.

4.  Seeing the look on a groom's face the first time he sees his bride.   Another moment of tears for me.

5.  Giving back at the holidays and all year are so important in our family.  It is one of my favorite things to help make turkey dinners and shop for Toys for Tots...but we must remember that the need is there year round for these families.

6. Seeing all of the hard work and planning for an event or wedding come together is one of my favorite things.  Just knowing that we played a role in such an amazing day is such a huge reward.

7.  Giving gifts to others is another favorite thing...bringing a smile to someone else is magical.

8.  Watching a bride and groom, their family and friends celebrate their love and the beginning of their life together is so full promise and joy and that is what made me choose this profession.

Mandi's Favorite Things:

1.  Spending time with family at the holidays.

2.  Making a little girl's dream become reality on her wedding day.

3. Driving around and looking at the Christmas lights with family.

4. The tears in the eyes of the parents as they give their daughter away...I can't help but cry too.

5. Hearing a Christmas song and singing along.  It always makes me happy!

6. Witnessing the love that two people share and watching two families unite.

7.  Finding the perfect gift for someone special and then watching them open it.

8. Seeing the endless possibilities of colors, themse and ideas for a wedding.  It gets my creative side energeize.

So what are you favorite things? We would love to hear from you.

Have a Fabuluxe Day!

Hi everyone!  Hope you are having a wonderful week so far.  We are getting super excited about Meghan and Bill's wedding this weekend at Jonathan's Landing in Jupiter,FL.  We have 3 days of amazing events planned!

I know it may sound silly or even cheesy, but we are so honored and blessed to work with you on your wedding!  We get to know you over a period of months or even a year as we work together to plan your perfect day.  You become part of our family.  So in the spirit of working together productively, here are some tips on building fabulous relationships with your wedding professionals.

1.  Remember that your vendors are professionals.  Working on weddings and other special events is how we make our living.  We all truly understand that economic times are difficult right now.

2.  Please be realistic with your expectations and your budget.  There is so much info out on the Internet and it can be overwhelming.  But, you can get a general sense of what things cost by doing a little research before meeting with your vendors.

3.  Please communicate with us.  The reason we ask so many questions is so that we can provide the ultimate in customer service for you.  We ask that when we email or call you, the email is responded to or the call returned as soon as possible.  At Fabuluxe Events, we respond to all emails and phone calls within 1 business day.  We want to make your dreams a reality, make your vision come to life, to do this we need your input.

4.  In relation to the topic above, please understand that many of us have families, etc.  We will respond to you quickly and in a professional manner.  However, please don't expect a return email at midnight or during our dinner timer with our families.  Treat us the way you want to be treated.

Our goal is to make your wedding day as special and unique as you are!  Don't forget to check out our website at www.fabuluxeevents.com !

Have a great day.

Hi everyone!  Hope you are having a great week and had a wonderful weekend.  We had an amazing weekend as Mandi got married.  What a blast!

I was so honored to be a part of her special day and she was stunning!  Here is a sneek peek of her and her Maid of Honor.

We can't wait to share the professional pics with you.  Plus we have to say a big thank you to Emindee Images, Let's Party DJs and Entertainment, Johnson's Custom Cakes, Creations by Blanca, The Borland Center for the Performing Arts, Shadows Make Up Artistry and Hair by Zaklina.  Mandi was so blessed to have you all be a part of her special day!

Today, I thought it would be fun to talk about destination weddings.  Since we are located in South Florida, we see quite a few destination weddings each year along with the weddings for our local residents.  Destination weddings are not for everyone but they can be amazing!

Here are a just a few tips for keeping your destination wedding on track and as stress-free as possible.

1.  Hire a local wedding planner...I am not just saying this because we are wedding planners.  You need someone who is full-time in the location of your wedding.  That planner will know the best vendors, hotels for your guests, can help with transportation arrangements for you and your guests, will be your "eyes and ears" on the ground and will truly become an extension of you.

2.  Keep the guest list somewhat limited.  It can be very difficult to plan a destination wedding for 300 people.  Keep the guest list from about 20-100 and even 100 can be stretching it a bit...depending on how far people will have to travel.

3.  Know that with a destination wedding some people just won't be able to come.  That is ok.  You can have a small reception or open house when you get back home.

4.  Give plenty of notice to your guests.  A save-the-date card for a destination wedding should be sent at least 6-8 months prior to the wedding.  Your save-the-date package or your wedding website should include hotel information.  Guests will start booking their travel arrangments pretty far in advance in order to get discounts on flights, etc.

5.  Try to incorporate some fun activities during the wedding weekend for your guests.  They have travelled to be part of your wedding so don't just leave them hanging by themselves.

I am sure some of this seems really obvious but sometimes it helps to see it in writing to remind us all of what we already know.   We are blessed to have planned some amazing destination weddings in 2012 so far and there are more to come this fall and into 2013.

Have a great day!

Hi everyone,  Happy Thursday!  Hard to believe that we are in October already.  Where does the time go?!   We are so excited as our Mandi is getting married this weekend.  It is going to be an amazing day filled with love!   Watch for pictures and a recap next week!

Today, I thought it would be important to talk about photography and videography.  Your wedding is something you have planned and dreamed of for months and even years.  Every detail has been planned and the day is happening flawlessly.  How do you remember this amazing day and the feelings you had?  The answer is easy...hire the best possible photographer and videographer that you can afford...stretch your budget on these items.

You have one chance to capture the memories of the day...One chance to capture the walk down the aisle, the first kiss, the vows, the first dance. Unplanned moments often make some of the best photos and video.  They are spontaneous and natural and emotional.    You will be able to look back at your photos and video for the rest of your lives.  The feelings will all come rushing back every time you look at them.

In years to come you might find that your wedding photos and video hold some very precious moments.  Our families change so much over the years.  You could capture a special moment and not realize until years later how special it was.    That happened to me...I had a fabulous photographer and videographer.  They captured my great-aunt and uncle dancing...I mean dancing like people used to dance in the 40s and 50s.  She was in the early stages of Alzheimers and shortly after our wedding the disease took over.  But I will always have the footage of two very imporant people in my life, dressed perfectly, dancing beautifully and sharing their love with the rest of us.

So when planning your wedding or other special event, remember you get one chance to capture the memories of a lifetime!

Have a Fabuluxe Day!
