So, recently we were asked to style and curate a photoshoot celebrating a 25th Wedding Anniversary.  It was such an honor, because the "bride" celebrating is the owner of Bacio Bacio Bridal in Wellington.  When someone in our industry trusts us with their personal celebrations, it is one of the highest compliments we can ever receive.

Lenyce and Al got married in Key West 25 years ago.  And let me just say that they are still like newlyweds.  The love that they share is inspiring.  The love they have for their family is inspiring.  And it was so much FUN for us to plan this celebration photo shoot for them.  We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we do!

A HUGE Thank you to everyone involved for making this happen!

It may be April but we are feeling those holiday vibes with Ellie and Michael's Christmas time wedding.   We planned their wedding for a year and it didn't disappoint!  They are are so darn cute together and we love how they embraced the holidays with their look and feel of the wedding.  It's a good reminder that if you want a holiday wedding it can be done without being cheesy or like an over the top Hallmark Movie! (sorry Hallmark I love to binge your holiday movies...but they are a bit cheesy and that's why we love them)

Fun fact #1 - The groom's cousin, Matt Gumley - was the original Chip on Broadway's Beauty and The Beast and his band performed at the reception.  Honestly, one of the best peformers we have ever seen at a Wedding!

Fun Fact #2 - The bride made all of her own signage on acrylic herself.  She is super creative!

Fun Fact #3 - The menus included each person's name - served as placecard- and the color wax seal attaching the name denoted the entree choice.

A huge thank you to the amazing and talented vendor team:

Hey Y'all!  We hope you are all well and taking the recommended precautions to stay well!

At this time, we have rescheduled any remaining March weddings and all April weddings.  May weddings are being evaluated on a case by case basis at this time.  We wanted to share a few tips on how to navigate this difficult time.

We are working with all of our couples to navigate through this process.

All client interactions are via telephone, Facetime or Skype for the foreseeable future.  We are rescheduling weddings for Summer 2020, Fall and Winter 2020 and into 2021 depending what dates work for you all.

We highly urge you to postpone and not cancel.  You have put your heart and soul into your wedding day.  You will still get to celebrate your love and commitment with your friends and family...it just may be a different date.  Your friends and family WANT to celebrate with you...they want to share in your joy.

If you have friends who are getting married and they don't have a planner, please share these tips with them...

1.  Contact your venue - questions to ask

a.  What is your policy on date changes, postponement and cancellation as it relates to the Coronavirus?

b.  Will I still need to meet my food and beverage minimum if I have a smaller guest count than anticipated?

2. Room Blocks

a.  If you signed a contract guaranteeing a set number of rooms to be booked, can that guarantee be waived?

b.  If I schedule to an off season time will my room rate reflect the lower costs?

3.  Contact all other vendors and ask about rescheduling and transferring deposits or refunds if they don't have your new date available.

4.  Marriage licenses - They are good for 60 days from the date which you apply (go to the clerk's office and get the license).  If you have to reschedule and your new date is beyond those 60 days you will need to obtain a new marriage license from the County Clerk's office.  As of this time, you will need to pay another $93 fee.  The clerk's office has not announced plans to waive fees for expired licenses and rescheduled weddings.

5.  Try to stay calm - It is perfectly normal to feel sad, disappointed, angry, and frustrated.  This is uncharted territory for all of us.  None of us knows how to feel from one minute to the next. And that is OK.

We had the best time with Madeleine and Dustin.  Though they both live in the Washington DC area, Madeleine grew up on Palm Beach and her family still lives there.  So for her, she knew exactly where she wanted to get married.  St. Edward's Catholic Church and The Flagler Museum were Madeleine's dream wedding locations.

During the process we shared lots of texts, emails, facetime calls, and jammed meetings into a few weekends...and the whole time we laughed so hard!  And Dustin is just the most romantic, big-hearted guy ever...there is nothing he wouldn't do for Madeleine.

From the incredible rehearsal dinner at Eau Palm Beach the wedding day festivities, it was an extraordinary weekend!

Thank you so much to everyone who made it all happen.

Hi All,

We are starting this week with some great info on what we call a FRIENDOR - A friend that also is a vendor...and it can be tricky!

I am sure that this has happened to everyone...you announce your engagement and suddenly everyone you know, knows a guy who does weddings.  It could be a photographer, DJ, caterer, florist...anything, and you have an inbox full of random names and contact information.

These people are what we call Friendors..and you should run far, far away.  A Friendor is someone who may do some family photography at Christmas and now wants to photograph your wedding.  A Friendor is someone who loves to cook and loves you so they want to "gift" you the catering for your wedding.  A Friendor is someone who loves music, has a huge Itunes collection and wants to DJ your wedding.

All of these people have two things in common:

1.  They are somehow your friend, a family friend or relative.

2.  None of these people make their living in the wedding or event industry.

Please trust only professionals to handle your wedding.   We have seen relationships ruined by the hiring of a Friendor and then the Friendor is unable to perform properly, the quality of the finished product is poor and feelings are hurt on both sides.

Tell your Friendors - that "I would much rather you enjoy our special day and be in the moment and celebrate with us."  You can give them jobs such as readings, handing out programs, helping people find their seats at dinner, helping with the rehearsal dinner and so much more.

You have one chance on your wedding day to get amazing photos, eat spectacular food, keep the crowd on the dance floor. Don't take a chance.  If you hire amateurs you will get amateur results.

Keep Friendors as your friends!

Until next week,

Remember...You Deserve a Fabuluxe Day!
